The Friends of Music are passionate about keeping music alive in our schools and believe that investing in the arts not only improves community quality of life, but further empowers, energizes and educates our students in the enjoyment of the arts.
We count on philanthropy to fund student scholarships, instruments, travel expenses, uniforms and the many needs of the Music Department at Summit High School. The following are a variety of ways that we invite you to support us in our efforts.
Friends of Music always need more volunteers to help with all of our events, so if you have a program close to your heart, please contact the Friends of Music to get involved. Other ways you can support us are:
- by donating your time at one of our events or, new this year – Boosters is running a campaign called Booster Bucks! By simply signing up to volunteer to work in concessions, $10 will go to the program of your choice, i.e. ‘Friends of Music’ – click here to sign up (Note: the Booster $$’s comes from the money generated through eScrip registration — to register complete this form and give to one of the Directors or leave it at the front office.)
- becoming a Friends of Music member through annual membership dues, or by simply making a non-membership donation to the Friends of Music
- purchasing items at the Friends of Music table at any of our concerts
- or simply “Contact Us” to discuss other options
If you appreciate fine music and support the Friends of Music mission, then join us by volunteering or financially supporting through your membership!
The Board of Directors would like to thank all of the sponsors, donors and volunteers for making the 3rd Annual “FOR THE LOVE OF MUSIC” benefit concert a HUGE success! Thank you for keeping music alive in our schools!
